A little about me....
This is my seventh year teaching 2nd grade at Aspen. Prior to that, I spent six years as an instructional assistant working in all the grade levels. During that time I realized my true calling was to be a teacher. I decided it’s never too late to pursue a dream and I went back to school to get my masters. I graduated with my MAT (Masters of Arts in Teaching) in January 2012. My dream was realized when I was hired to become part of Aspen’s second grade team. I love teaching and look forward to coming to work every day to be with your children!
When I’m not teaching I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband Paul and I have been married 27 years. We are the proud parents of two amazing children who also happen to be Aspen Alumni. After graduating from VHHS they followed in their mom's footsteps and attended University of Illinois in Champaign. Our son Nick earned his masters in accountancy in May and he is working in Chicago. Our daughter Samantha is a junior who is majoring in economics. It seems like only yesterday when they were both walking the halls of Aspen School. It amazes me how quickly the years go by when you’re watching your children grow.
I look forward to getting to know your family and working with you to ensure your child has a wonderful year of learning!
